GBA Heritage was engaged in this project from the initial design stage to guidance during the construction stage.

The project extends the existing shop to engage with the rear laneway and recently rejuvenated Lindfield Village Green, and includes an upgrade of the existing shop and apartments above.

The conservation schedule and subsequent guidance addressed the Interwar facade, whose brickwork had suffered extensive weathering, requiring areas of mortar to be systematically repaired and replaced.

Conservation of fabric and appropriate interventions had to be carefully balanced to allow for the necessary fire and safety upgrades while retaining the character and aesthetic qualities of the Interwar mixed Romanesque and Spanish Mission style building. The construction and conservation works are expected to be completed in 2024.
