This fine house with its garden setting, designed by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony is listed on the NSW State Heritage Register.
Close inspection revealed that a number of later changes had created internal spaces that were not compatible with modern residential use.
GBA Heritage worked closely with the architects to research the history and historic fabric of the building and its grounds, before proposing a subtle contemporary layer of residential amenity.
Crucial features of the building reflected Griffin’s design language and required careful conservation. Approval for the works was gained from Heritage NSW.
