The graceful double-curved, curtain wall façade of this early variant to the post war commercial building became the inspiration for the eventual completion of Chifley Square as a fine urban space in central Sydney.
Although regarded as using the latest 1950s curtain wall technology, a major remediation programme was undertaken in stages between 2016 and 2020 to replace deteriorated façade components. GBA Heritage also managed a series of internal tenancy changes to this NSW State Heritage Listed architectural icon.
