Powell Street, Killara
David White Architects
The Council expressed a series of particular concerns about the way new additions were being grafted onto the rear of a fine heritage listed historic house.
In-depth documentary and physical research revealed a great number of changes since the house was first erected in the 1920s.
These were carefully recorded and illustrated by the architects to assure Council that the additions and alterations were largely confined to parts of the house that had previously been altered.
They also confirmed that the original sections of the house and its fine architectural detailing were not affected by the other works.
The Council and the Applicant reached a conciliated agreement that was then confirmed by the Court.
