Respectful Adaptation
Many Adaptation projects aim for a relatively low key revitalisation, seeking to seamlessly integrate new facilities and uses into the interiors of historic buildings or the spaces that define their contemporary settings. One of the most important aspects of this field of architectural design and property investment is the retention of the distinctive characteristics of the existing building, as demonstrated in their architectural fabric and spatial composition.
GBA Heritage has worked on a wide variety of such projects, advising on the potential for new uses, investigating both heritage constraints and adaptation opportunities in conjunction with the development and consultant teams
