Conservation Management Planning
The preparation of Conservation Management Plans is at the core of best practice heritage management of historic buildings and places. Each CMP includes an overview of the well-researched historical development of the place and physical examination to determine how and why the place was influenced by the evolutionary forces of everyday life over time.
The depth of understanding is captured in a Statement of Heritage Significance from which the formulation of conservation policy and implementation guidance responds to the realities of future uses, ownership expectations, regulatory requirements and creative design, all based on a respect for the significance of the building or place.
